Welcome to the Shannon Church of Christ website! Our Christian family is a vibrant diverse community of believers united by the love of Jesus Christ. We gather to worship the Lord, to grow in the Word of God, and to encourage one another daily (1 Thessalonians 5:11, Hebrews 3:13).
If you are new in your faith journey or have been a part of the body of Christ for a season, we welcome you to join us

What the Bible Say About How To Be Saved:
HEAR
One must hear the gospel of Jesus Christ because faith comes by hearing.
"So then faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God."(Romans 10:17)
BELIEVE
Believe in the gospel message.
"He who believes and is baptized will be saved but he who does not believe will be condemned."(Mark 16:16)
REPENT
One must repent of sins which is a turning away from sin and commit to living for Jesus, in order to be saved.
"I tell you nay, no, but unless you repent you will all likewise perish." (Luke 13:3)
CONFESS
One must confess that Jesus is the Son of God (Matthew 16:16) and that He died, was buried, and was resurrected for our sins. "If you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."(Romans 10:9).
BE BAPTIZED
One must be baptized for the remission of sins.
"Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." (Acts 2:38)(Mark 16:16,Matthew 28:18-20).
LIVE FAITHFULLY
The Christian should continue to walk in obedience to the Word of God with love for our Lord and Savior. "Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life."(Revelation 2:10).
JESUS THE CHRIST
"There is salvation in no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved." Acts 4:12

2026 THEME
Our yearly theme this year is about "Getting to Know God". Every Wednesday evening at 7:00PM we have bible classes that enrich us with the Word of God to learn more about God.
Come Join us! You will be a blessing to us and the class will be a blessing to you.

SINGING
As New Testament Christians we commanded to lift our voices in songs and hymns praising God while we build each other up according to the scriptures.

Everyone is encouraged to open their Bibles together so that we can know God's truth in scripture.

During worship we will offer up to God prayers, giving all glory and praise to Him for His grace and blessings.

We take the time every Sunday to observe the Lord's Supper, focusing our hearts on His sacrifice on the cross.
